Color Tip 1
If you are decorating a new construction then choose your carpet before going for the selection of colour, wallpaper and furnishing because it will then help you get inspired and set the right mood of the room.
Color Tip 2
Go for solid colour carpets for rooms that have lots of pattern and texture as it will make the look subtle. This doesn’t mean that you choose only neutral shades and you could also choose a shade from the curtains or any furnishes as it is best way to put things set together.
Color Tip 3
If you have a room with no windows then go for lighter shades as they would brighten up the room and also make your room look spacious.
Color Tip 4
Neutral shades always create a feeling of warmth and nowadays neutrals are not just beige, they have a fine collection of taupe, sage green, gray blue, sandy yellow, khaki, gray as alternatives for neutral.
Color Tip 5
You could also go for a mix colour shade that would give you a feeling of height. Go for the darker shades for the flooring section then a next light shade on the walls and lighter at the ceiling.
Color Tip 6
Does a colour test of your carpet at broad daylight and then again with lights in the evening so that you know the shimmer it would give according to the original lightnings and how the colour setting might change with change in light.
Add texture to your floor
Textures are always about getting the feel when you touch the surface. Whether its soft or rough or smooth everything depends on the touch and feel of it and the contribution it makes to your satisfaction.
Our carpets are made with an exclusive and extraordinary array of textures that helps make the floor an enticing space to live. We at Studio Interior double or triple plies our yarns for giving the best texture effect along with implying different twist for variations. After doing so we finally give it a loop and then cut off the yarns so that it gets the final texture form.
We have described a few carpet textures that would help you choose.
Combination of Styles
When the carpet is partially cut and few parts are partially uncut it gives a sense of natural patterned look which is very much durable.
Level Loop
Every loop of the carpet is of similar height that helps us create a durable carpet giving it an informal look. Good examples of such carpets are berber and sisal. For the carpets that are made of multi-level loop, the loops are inserted from different heights into the backing so that it creates unique and interesting dimensional effects.
Plush
Another style is the deep cut pile that has smooth surface level and best example for those are velvets.
Saxony
This style is very much similar to plush but the yarn here has a twist so that you are able to notice the ends. It looks less formal than any regular plush.
Frieze
In this form the yarns are twisted vigorously so that it helps form a textured carpet space.
The power of patter
Pattern also plays an important role like colour in decorating your room and adding boundless potential. You can use it to stretch the dimension of your room as well as define certain areas within the room and also fortify the characteristics of the room. The best way to build a plan is to select the best texture and colour of the carpet and then go for a theme. You could also go for the abstract patterns of stripe, geometric or even floral which would give an instant appeal and personality that would spark the decorating approach of the room. After selection of theme and plan you could go for the furnishing and the other accessories that would add up charm to the shades and colours that are featured in the carpet. Think well before you go for the mix patterns as that might sometimes be tricky and also be known that when patterns goes at par with the form, colour and the texture the mix comes out to be a success. You could also try out few sample carpets before making the final purchase so that you make a counter check because sometimes the proportions could turn out to be different than you assumed.

Every home has either pets or children that are too prone to accidents so make sure that your carpet is easy to clean when in contact with stains. We at Studio Interior use nylons that are best protected with stain-resistant treatments so you don’t have to worry much about any daily mishaps that might occur. Wool is the best option if you want to go for natural and the wool we use are already naturally superior as they have the built-in stain resistant features in it. The wool has the scaly structure that could hold dirt high on the pile which help you in vacuuming effectively and easily. Dirt are natural ingredients and no matter where you set your carpet they would come for sure so go for colours and patterns that would hide the little mishaps that are prone to happen.
Multi-colour patterns are really very good for your space if you have pets and small children because it will mask away the spills and dirt of everyday. If you want a solid carpet do take note that those of light colour always shows dirt the most while the dark colours shows the dust as well as pet hairs. So if you have a pet that is prone to shedding hair match the carpet colour with the pets hair colour. It might seem a bit weird to follow but believe us it would only help keep your house clean.
When you have kids or pets another factor is noise as they do not remain silent and sit in a corner. When you expand your hard surface flooring it would reverberate the household noise so go for plush textures that has fabric upholstery and window coverings which would help absorb the sound waves and make your home a peaceful place to live and relax.
Sizing your carpet (take photo from here)
Selecting the best size that would complement your room is also important along with selecting the right colour and pattern. Measure your room and then follow our guide of room to room measure to find the one that best fits your wants. Always keep in mind that we offer custom made sizes for areas that are hard to fit with the regular ones.
Dining Room
If you want to install a carpet in your dining room measure first the length and width of the table as the carpet has be large enough to allow all your chairs to be within it when pushed back. That would allow your carpet to be intact even when the chairs are put into different conventional positions before and after having the meal. Keep 30 inches of extra space on each side for sides and armchairs.
Family Room
The general rule that is followed while setting a carpet in your family room is to allow 12 to 18 inches of flooring. If your room is small 12 inches might be enough. A large carpet is best when you have a bigger room as it doesn’t visually divide the room space. If you want to put varied carpets for different furniture’s you can go for compatible size and colour without looking for the same design.
Bedrooms
When you want to place a carpet in your bedroom one large size would be enough but remember that most of it would be covered under your bed. You can go for several carpets of similar size and design around the bed for a subtle look. Get a carpet that has soft texture as it will be more appreciated while you are stepping in and out of the bed.
Hallways
If you want to set a carpet in your hallway the size and length would depend on your liking. You could go for a runner carpet that would cover the whole way instead of ending in the middle of the doorway. You can also put several small runner carpets one after another with varied design but of similar colour.
